History

Founded in 1987, the firm's expertise started in the 1960's

Capstone Financial Solutions’ history dates back to the founding firm, Capstone Asset Management Company (CAMCO), in 1987.  CAMCO's expertise in managing portfolios has its genesis in the late 1960’s when Philadelphia Life Insurance Company created a separate investment subsidiary for the purpose of providing separately managed accounts. Ed Jaroski joined the new Philadelphia Life Asset Management Company (a subsidiary of Philadelphia Life Insurance Company) in 1969.

Tenneco, Inc. acquired Philadelphia Life in 1976; Dan Watson joined Tenneco the following year. Jaroski and Watson acquired the successor investment advisory division, known as Tenneco Asset Management Company, in 1987, and renamed it Capstone Asset Management Company.

In October 2008, Scott Wynant and Patrick Garboden – two distinguished leaders from AG Financial Wealth Management Solutions (WMS)– joined the Capstone Family where Capstone Financial Services, the parent company on CAMCO, acquired all of the outstanding stock of WMS.  WMS changed its name to Capstone Financial Solutions, LLC and established a new wealth management business unit. Capstone Financial Solutions, LLC is headquartered in Houston, Texas.
